Mic Recorder for iPhone

Mic Recorder for iPhone does not just record but it records while showing you the peak and average sound levels on your iPhone. Not just a simple voice memo application! Mic Recorder will take your recordings to the next level by allowing you to control the sample rate, PCM Bit rate, and audio quality. There is even a DB threshold control that sets the level graph as you record! Then once your done recording you can give it a title and a description

This application will run in the background while you send a text or check your email. It will even record while your phone is locked! That makes it perfect for recording a meeting, a class or that song you have been working on! Mic Recorder makes saving your recording easier by exporting it as a m4a audio file that can easily be imported into iTunes! You will also be able to send your recordings in an email, upload them to Dropbox, or back them up from within iTunes on the iTunes app view under file sharing. Many ways to share what you record with your friends!

You can even listen to long recordings as you check your email, surf the web or send a text. Mic Recorder takes advantage of the iPhones background audio capabilities!

^Feature Overview

Capture Audio

Record your voice or audio and Mic Recorder will save your recording as a m4a audio file that can be sent by email, uploaded to dropbox, or exported from iTunes. Each recording can also easily be added iTunes to listen to later!

Audio Level Graph Controls

Manually control the audio level graph by pressing the DB label at the top of the screen. The control that slides out manages the threshold used to display the max audio levels in the graph below it.

Audio Recording Settings

To access the Audio Recording setting, press the button at the bottom of the screen.

Sample Rate

The Sample Rate defines the number of times audio is captured each second of recording. This is usually measured in Hz (Hertz). Typically CD quality audio is set to 44.1 kHz or 44100 Hz.

Linear PCM Bit Depth

The Linear PCM (Pulse-code modulation) Bit Depth determines the the number of values each audio sample captures. The higher your bit depth, the more values that are captured which provides a better recording.

Audio Recording Quality

The Audio Recording Quality sets the sample rate conversion quality. The higher the quality the better the sample.

Recording Audio

Recording audio is simple Mic Recorder! You can start and stop your recordings by pressing the record button located at the top of the screen. The microphone can also be used to start and stop your recordings.

While recording you can hit the home button and record in the background while you check your email, send a text message, or surf the web! Each recording you create using Mic Recorder will be saved as a m4a audio file that can easily be added to iTunes so you can listen to it at any time or share it with a friend!

Easy Access to your recordings

Quickly access your new and previous recordings by pressing the recordings list button located to the right of the recording button.

Each recording in the list is displayed with the recordings title, the recordings time, and an abbreviated description if the recording has one. Tapping any of the recordings will take you to the recordings details. You can also access actions for each recording easily by swiping left or right on any of the recordings list items. This makes it easier to export, remove , or edit your recordings.

You will also find the option to remove all of your recordings from Mic Recorder at the bottom of the recordings list. Just be sure to back up any recordings you would like to save. This will remove everything in your application and can no be undone!

View your Recordings Details

The recording details view allows you to play back your recordings while you view its details. The information provided includes your recordings length, description, file type, file size, audio sample rate, linear PCM bit depth, and audio quality.

Try playing a long recording in the background! Mic Recorder takes full advantage of the iPhones background audio capabilities so you can check your email, send a text or surf the web while you listen.

From the details screen you will also be able to perform actions on your recording such as editing it, exporting it or removing it from Mic Recorder.

Edit Your Recordings Details

Mic Recorder provides the ability to edit your recordings title and description

Recording Export

Export your recordings from Mic Recorder by email, uploading them to Dropbox or save them with iTunes file sharing.
